Outside of debate, Austin enjoys staying active—whether it's on the basketball court, in the gym, or trying out new sports. He also loves spending time outdoors and finds fishing especially rewarding, both for the peaceful environment and the chance to see a wide variety of fish species. In addition, Austin has a passion for entrepreneurship and enjoys developing small business ventures in his free time.
During his five years competing in Team Policy Debate, Austin built a reputation as both a strategic thinker and dynamic speaker. In his junior year, he earned 2nd place at Regionals alongside 1st place in speaker points, and capped off his senior season with a Regional Championship title. That same year, he posted an impressive 30–6 preliminary record and went on to place in the top 15 nationally in debate, while also earning a top 10 speaker award at the national level.
Austin currently attends Cairn University, where he is pursuing a major in Business with a minor in Pre-Law, maintaining a 3.95 GPA. He has one more year of school and intends on pursuing a job that overlaps between business and law.
